This small and inconspicuous gear at the rear of your moped does so much! The drive sprocket on your Puch Maxi moped ensures that power is transmitted to the rear wheel. Together with the moped sprocket and the drive chain, it is therefore the sprocket's job to ensure propulsion. If sprockets are worn and one or more teeth are broken out, the small gearwheel can only fulfil its function to a limited extent. In such cases, the chain often jumps off or slips. At the latest then the sprocket on your Puch moped needs to be replaced. But even if you want to adjust the gear ratio of your Puch maxi moped in order to increase either the acceleration or the top speed of your bead, it is necessary to install a smaller or larger drive sprocket. Whether you want to adjust the transmission ratio or replace it due to wear, you will find moped sprockets of the highest material quality for your Puch moped in our range, for various chain types, with a choice of 10 to 21 teeth. You can order high-quality moped sprockets from Esjot, our label GPO and other proven manufacturers individually or as a practical set and always benefit from fair prices and delivery directly from stock.
The sprocket on your moped must be mounted particularly firmly in order to be able to absorb the enormous forces that it has to transmit via the chain. Removing an old sprocket is therefore not so easy. In any case, it is easier with special tools, such as a chain whip and a puller tool. They help you to remove the old sprocket from your Puch moped without too much effort. If you then choose a drive sprocket for your moped that has more or fewer teeth than the previous sprocket, this will have a direct effect on how your moped is geared. If your Puch Maxi gets a smaller pinion, this will result in a shorter gear ratio, which means better acceleration and a lower top speed. More teeth on the sprocket ensure a longer gear ratio. This helps you to achieve a higher top speed, but at the expense of acceleration.
The sprocket itself and the associated parts, such as a spacer sleeve or the sprocket nut, absorb strong forces in order to transmit them via the chain. This means that these parts are among the most stressed parts on your Puch moped. That's why you should always make sure that the drive sprocket for your Puch motorbike is of particularly high quality. We therefore only offer you sprockets from proven manufacturers such as Esjot, swiing and other renowned parts forges; extreme resilience and durability are always guaranteed with these moped sprockets.
We offer a large selection of pinions with the desired gearing from swiing, GPO and Esjot for your Puch moped at a fair price. Order new drive sprockets for your moped directly from stock and find other parts for the drive and transmission of your moped in addition to the drive sprocket. If you have any questions about your order or need advice on finding a specific spare part, we will be happy to provide you with detailed advice.
