The carburettor jet, or more precisely the main jet, has a major influence on how reliably your moped runs. Whether you can actually call up the maximum possible power depends largely on the jetting and the tuning of the carburettor on your Sachs moped. Replacing the carburettor jets on your Sachs moped is not too difficult. The job is done in a few simple steps. However, fine-tuning the carburettor afterwards can require a lot of dexterity, experience and also some time. A simple rule of thumb, however, is to use a larger main jet to achieve a mixture that is richer, i.e. contains more fuel. However, if you use smaller jets on your Sachs moped, the mixture will be leaner and therefore contain less fuel and more air. However, as already mentioned, replacing the main jet is only the beginning; the bulk of the work awaits you afterwards.
