Note according to the Waste Oil Ordinance

According to the Waste Oil Ordinance, we are obliged to take back the following used oils free of charge: 

• combustion engine oils
• gear oils
• oil filters
• oily waste regularly produced during oil changes.

You can return waste oil to us in quantities corresponding to the quantities purchased from us.

The place of return is our point of sale as stated below:

You can drop off the oils there at any time during our opening hours. Alternatively, you can also send us the used oil; in this case, you have to bear the shipping costs.

Please note that special transport conditions may apply to used oil. We would also like to point out that our collection point has a facility that enables oil changes to be carried out professionally.

If you are a commercial end user, we would like to point out that we may use third parties to fulfill our acceptance obligations to you.

Information on electrical and electronic equipment

The following information is intended for private households that use electrical and/or electronic equipment. Please note these important instructions in the interest of environmentally sound disposal of old equipment and for your own safety.

Information on the disposal of electrical and electronic equipment

Owners of waste equipment must dispose of it separately from unsorted municipal waste. Old electrical and electronic equipment must therefore not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste and, in particular, does not belong in household waste. Rather, this waste equipment must be collected separately and disposed of, for example, via local collection and return systems.

Owners of waste equipment must also separate waste batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed in the waste equipment before handing it in at a collection point. The latter does not apply if the waste equipment is separated from other waste equipment in accordance with Section 14 (5) sentences 2 and 3 ElektroG as part of the optimization by the public waste disposal authorities for the purpose of preparing for the reuse of other waste equipment.

Meaning of the symbol according to Appendix 3 of the ElektroG

The symbol in accordance with Appendix 3 of the ElektroG enables owners to recognize old devices that are to be collected separately from unsorted municipal waste. The symbol for the separate collection of electrical and electronic equipment represents a crossed-out wheelie bin and is designed as follows:

Data protection information

Some of the old devices to be disposed of contain sensitive personal data (e.g. on a PC or smartphone) that must not fall into the hands of third parties. We expressly point out that end users of old devices are responsible for ensuring that personal data on the old devices to be disposed of is deleted.

Information on the disposal of used batteries

The following information is intended for those who use batteries or products with built-in batteries and no longer resell them in the form in which they were delivered to them (end users):

Free-of-charge return of used batteries

Batteries must not be disposed of in household waste. You are legally obliged to return old batteries so that they can be disposed of properly. You can hand over old batteries at a municipal collection point or at a local retailer. As a distributor of batteries, we are also obliged to take back waste batteries, whereby our take-back obligation is limited to waste batteries of the type that we carry or have carried as new batteries in our range. You can therefore either return waste batteries of the aforementioned type to us with sufficient postage or hand them in free of charge directly to our dispatch warehouse at the following address:

Meaning of the battery symbols

Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheelie bin. This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of in household waste. For batteries that contain more than 0.0005 percent of mercury, more than 0.002 percent of cadmium or more than 0.004 percent of lead, the chemical symbol of the pollutant used is located under the garbage can symbol – “Cd” stands for cadmium, “Pb” for lead, and “Hg” for mercury.
