Adapting the drive ratio of your Sachs moped is a simple and inexpensive way to realise either a higher top speed or firmer acceleration. In addition, the drive sprocket naturally ensures power transmission to the rear wheel of your moped. As is the case with almost all drive components, the drive sprocket is also exposed to enormous thermal and mechanical stresses. This naturally results in a certain susceptibility to wear. That's why changing the drive pinion is a task that all moped riders will have to do sooner or later. You can order everything you need to adjust the gear ratio of your bead or replace a worn drive pinion easily and at a fair price from mofakult. From the drive pinion to the sprocket nut and spacer sleeve to the chain whip for assembly, you will discover a selection of precisely fitting parts for your Sachs moped in our range.
With a chain whip and a puller tool from our range, removing an old drive pinion is much easier. Without these tools, removing the old drive pinion can be a tedious and energy-sapping procedure, as it takes a lot of muscle power just to remove it. Installing the new drive pinion, on the other hand, is not too difficult if you use a chain whip to hold the moped sprocket in place during installation. If you want to change the gear ratio on your moped, use a drive pinion with different teeth. With fewer teeth, the moped has a shorter gear ratio, which means that your Sachs pearl accelerates faster, but is slightly slower overall. More teeth on the drive sprocket lead to a longer gear ratio and thus to an increased top speed, but at the expense of slower acceleration.
When choosing a new drive pinion for your Sachs moped, you should always pay attention to quality. Just like us, because we only offer drive pinions and accessories in brand quality from Esjot, GPO or our legendary own brand swiing. With these parts you are on the safe side. They are made from first-class materials and are characterised by enormous resilience, low wear and a long service life. The drive pinions from Esjot and swiing are also an excellent choice for your Sachs moped if you are travelling at high speeds.
If the drive pinion on your Sachs moped is worn and you want to replace it, you can get suitable parts from us as an adequate replacement. Even if you want to adjust the gear ratio of your Sachs moped, you will find drive pinions in the right size as well as gear rims and drive chains.
