A revolution in rust protection from the world of boatbuilding!
Do you own a rare classic car with a beautiful patina, and want to preserve its paint from deterioration for decades to come? Then this product is perfect for you.
As a preparatory step, treat the surface to be coated with 1–2 coats of Rustol OWATROL Rust and Paint Sealer.
Afterward, apply several coats of Deks Olje over the rust sealer; it will fully cure in 5–7 days and become abrasion-resistant.
This transparent sealer has the following properties:
- It forms a flexible film that does not crack, become brittle, or peel.
- High-gloss finish
- Highly transparent oil-based varnish
- Provides long-lasting protection
- No sanding required between coats
Application:
- Apply 3–6 coats at intervals of at least 12 hours at 20°C.
- Do not sand between coats.
- Allow to dry for at least 3–4 days before the object is put back into use.
- Immediately remove any drips or runs during application. Dried D2 is very difficult to remove completely.
The oil has extremely low surface tension, is three times “wetter” than water, and can therefore be applied when warmed (approx. 35°C) using a standard flow-cup or suction-cup spray gun.
This unique rust inhibitor and sealant is the ideal choice for providing long-term protection against rust on your classic car and preserving its natural finish.
