A racing or cross moped that has to be started or pushed conventionally generally has no chance in competition. Especially not if it has to be restarted during a race. For this reason, moped enthusiasts who are active in moped cross or racing have long relied on the installation of pull starters, such as those found on chainsaws. They make the starting process much easier and faster. With such a starter, you can (re)start your Puch moped in any situation and on any terrain. How to equip your racing moped with a starter cable
The pull-wire starters from our shop can be fitted to your Puch moped relatively easily and without major effort, as they have been specially optimised for different moped manufacturers and ignition variants. Firstly, make sure that you select the right pull-wire starter for the racing ignition you have installed on your racing or cross moped from our range. Then, if you have not already done so, you must remove the moped pedals from your bike. These can no longer be used as they would otherwise hit the starter. You must therefore either install footrests or a longer pedal axle or a pedal axle extension in order to continue using the pedals. You can then install the reversing starter on your Puch moped. To do this, you must first screw the counterpart (starter pinion) onto the pole wheel and then attach and screw on the starter housing.
