Owatrol: Quality from France since 1923
Since 1923, the name Durieu has been synonymous with quality and innovation in France and beyond its borders. The great-grandfather of today's Owatrol CEO began developing products and processes for the chemical preservation and care of metals. Incidentally, the first rust remover called Transol was also developed in the founding years and is still part of the Owatrol range today. Due to growing demand, the company also expanded into other European countries in the following decades. For this reason, from the 1960s the manufacturer cooperated with the Norwegian company Olsen and Wang, which produced the products from France under a European manufacturing licence.
